The “page 3 girl” has been a feature of British tabloid newspaper The Sun since November 1970. It generally features a topless model, in this case, Joanne Latham, circa 1980.
Dominique running. Or, judging from her expression, perhaps this image was made in the first nanoseconds of The Rapture, in which case our lives are drastically changed from what they were when I posted this.
Summer 2014, day 80. Apparently, negotiations at roadside produce stands in Europe differ somewhat from such negotiations here in the United States.
Summer 2014, day 78. An idyllic, sun-dappled summer afternoon as envisioned by Ukrainian painter Josef Tali (1960— ). It’s a minor point but, in addition to all of the wonderful things Tali shows us in this picture, I love that the woman’s feet are not so small that she could not possibly walk on them (a Dazzledent pet peeve). We have to feel that this is a real woman, observed in these exact circumstances, seen by an artist who cared enough to create, as it were, this “memory” for us.
